Joseph Charles Vestring, 79, auto service advisor, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2021, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m., in the Burns Cemetery, Burns, KS. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Cleora Vestring; sister, Marilyn (Joseph) Hein; stepson, Walt Arndt. Survivors: wife, Sherry Vestring; sons, Todd (Staci) Vestring and Binny Vestring; stepdaughter, Alisa (Krassimir) Damianov; brother, Bernie Vestring; sister, Vicki (Alan) Weldon all of Wichita; grandkids, Tanner, Braeden, Kayleigh, Logan, Brittany, Lauren, Landon; step-grandson, Aden Arndt; great-grandkids, Kyle, Everlee, Grayson, Braylen, Brecken, Carsten and Avery. Memorial established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.

  1. He was an excellent stepfather and so great to my mother. Such a blessing to the family. He is missed beyond words. There is peace, knowing he is Home in Heaven and will be with him again one day.

  3. Will miss you forever and always Grandpa.. I will never forget the memories of going to your farm and riding the big red tractor that you said was built for me! Riding into town and getting gas on that tractor, I was on top of the world. I remember staying the night out in Burns and watching the Chicago Bears game with you. We went out for a burger at Braums in 2019 and you met Mikayla, Kyle and Grayson. You gave Kyle a red toy tractor and pictures of me on the big red Tractor when I was a boy. You will forever be in my heart Grandpa, I Love you.
