  1. John and family I was really sorry to hear about Joe‘s passing my condolences to you and your family. Tim Thompson

  2. I live next to the once family home of the Mavec’s. Joe would call and leave me a message beginning with “this is your other brother from a different mother”. He was a talented woodworker. Anything he built from a sandbox for a neighbor’s grandson to an addition on a garage was built RIGHT and w such an artistic eye. He took pride in his work. Always ready to lift a hand to help a neighbor. May he be at peace. His other sister from another mother, Linda Ruzich

  3. Joe was always really nice to me. He made it a habit of stopping by to check on me the last few years. Mary Manning

  4. Mavec family, Thoughts and prayers for you all and Joe. Even through years and miles, you’re all still family to us – Riverside and Cathedral. Brothers and sisters for ever. Tony Thompson

  5. Joe was a special person. I have many really good memories from high school, attending out 10 year reunion together, and even spending time having fun when I moved to Dallas. There was one night we were having dinner at the Siesta Lounge and I abruptly got up to start CPR on another patron in distress. When I got back to the table, Joe just stared at me and couldn’t hardly say anything. I think that was the only time I ever saw him speechless. I will remember him with much love and pray his soul is at peace.
