Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Skip was a good man. i guess that’s all any of us can ask for in life. i always enjoyed chatting with him over the years about golf, the Royals or the Shockers. i’m going to miss those chats and I am going to miss Skip

  2. Skip was a great man who loved his family and friends. I always loved to him and my husband talk sports when they were together. They could talk for hours. We’ll really miss him. REST IN PEACE SKIP!

  3. Skip was everything we want in a friend: compassionate, interesting, engaged, funny and loyal. While Skip was a best friend to my father (and Shirley to my mom), I have vivid and fond childhood memories of growing up across the street from the Schwab family. Burnt chicken, neighborhood block parties, a smoker that went dry, a “beer tree” and so many hours in garages, on patios and around dining room tables. Most special to me is the friendship we also had in adulthood and Skip is uniquely responsible for giving me the important nudge that sent me out into the world after grad school in pursuit of a professional life I love and the start of my own way forward. After I left the nest, my own three kids learned to enjoy the company of him and his family so they know how sweet my memories of Skip truly are. My heart breaks for those closest to him, who will feel his loss most deeply. I love you Shirley, Jeff and Joanna…your husband/dad will be remembered by me as one of the GREATS in our lives.

  4. Skip has been a dear friend for many years and has always been a wonderful person. He will be greatly missed by all that know him! May God be with all of the Family!

  5. Oh skip! I will always love your infectious laugh and kind heart. Thanks for your love for others and our family. You will be missed my friend. Angie ebben Rigsby

  6. So very sorry to hear about Skip Schwab. I always wanted to reconnect with him and tell him thanks so much for teaching accounting at Wichita Business College in 1983. He also was so generous and held us a graduation party at his house. I always refer to him when I tell people what he said to me that meant so much. He told me that “whoever” hires me will be lucky! I have used that in job interviews and it always makes me feel special. I am so grateful that I got to be his student and sure there are many more that would say the same! My thoughts, prayers and blessings to you and your family. God bless his heart and soul. Ruth Heimerman

  7. Living in Kansas City, I missed knowing that Skip had passed. I last saw him at our 50th 8th grade Holy Savior reunion. There are no words to say. RIP, Skip.
