Josephine Mary Blanchat

Josephine Mary Blanchat, 95, homemaker, retired wallpapering business owner and aircraft manufacturing employee, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Rosary, 7 p.m., Thursday, July 2; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Friday, July 3, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Josephine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 65 years, past-president of their Altar Society and founder of the quilting guild. Preceded by parents, Nick and Gertrude (Hommertzheim) Schoenecker; husband, Alfred “Tubby” Blanchat; great-grandson, Braylen Cawood; siblings, Bart, Pete, Anna, Chris, Betty and Martha. Survivors: children, Gary (Laura) of Wichita, Wanda Winter (Herb) of Colwich, Ron (Val) of McPherson, Don (Viv) of Independence, MO; brother, Joe Schoenecker (Frances) of Roper; sisters, Sr. Mary Schoenecker of Wichita, Bertha Zogelman of Marion; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
