  1. JC was a wonderful and kind soul. I met him and Nancy in the preschool/daycare I attended with their son Joshua. I saw them every Sunday at mass. Even if we didn’t speak, they were a consistent presence in my world. I have since moved away from Haysville, but every visit home when I attended 8am mass I would see JC. I looked forward to a few brief moments of conversation with him after mass. He was so sweet and always happy to see me. He is missed by many. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May you find peace and healing after this loss.

  2. Growing up in La Colonia with Juan was a joy. He would make us kids laugh by joking with us and clowning around. We knew when he was coming and going when he would ramp up his motorcycle. He also had a gracious smile and was no stranger to anyone. As kids we thought it was so cool that he let his hair grow long and wore it in a braid, no one could master that look but him. Juan you will be missed. Always in our hearts, The Alvarado kids from home.

  3. J.C, Thanks for your prison ministry inside the Hutchinson Central facility. You will be missed by your Kairos brothers on the inside and on the outside. Rest in Peace brother Brad Hollinger (Kairos)

  4. JC was one of the best men I have ever met in my life. I was with his son Joshua for 2 and a half years and JC spent a lot of time helping me out. He changed my life. Was the first man I ever considered a father in law even though Josh and I never married. He changed my oil and transmission fluid for me, he took me wherever I needed to go to see his son, he and his late wife Nancy attended my high school graduation party. They opened their home to me for the holidays and invited me to midnight mass with the rest of the family. They treated me like real family. He allowed me to come and hang out with him anytime I needed to and gave me a place to go when things would get tense at home. I didn’t know he had passed but something made me look him up today and it breaks my heart to hear he has passed. My prayers are with the entire family! I loved him and he will be missed dearly. Mya
