Judith "Judy" A. Sanders, 82, died Friday, April 4, 2025 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita KS, following a brief illness. Nebraska Services:Visitation will begin at 5:30 pm, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Monday, April 14, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Humphrey, NE. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, April 15, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Wichita Services:Visitation will be at 6:00 pm, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Monday, April 28, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Eugene "EJ" and Florentine "Flo" Kessler; brother, Don Kessler; sister-in-law, Deb Kessler. Survived by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Sanders of Wichita; daughter, Lindsay (Matthew) Headley of Norfolk, NE; sister, Mary (Wayne) Mark of Omaha, NE; brothers, Jim (Mace) Kessler of Lincoln, NE, Jack (Gail) Kessler of Columbus, NE; sister-in-law, Jan (Bill) Fischer of Humphrey, NE; grandchildren, Miranda, Vincent, Max, and Vanessa Headley. Like a wise athlete, Judy retired in her prime, a picture of health for 82 years. She and Tom were best friends for 50 years and were married for almost 49. Judy was a true introvert, yet those who knew her would describe her as engaging, thoughtful, gentle, and kind. Her life revolved around her family and the Lord in Adoration. She and Tom enjoyed taking road trips to explore our country and visit family and friends along the way. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 N. Stratford, Wichita, KS 67206; Guadalupe Clinic, 940 S. St. Francis, Wichita, KS 67211; The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67214.   1. Judy was a vibrant member of our small neighborhood and such a caring soul with a great sense of humor. Her 48 year union with Tom is such an inspiration and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.
