West, Judy, 62, died Monday, August 14, 2006 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Memorial service 10:30 A.M., Friday, University Congregational Church. Judy was a member of University Congregational Church. She was very devoted to her family and friends and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Judy had a beautiful singing voice and loved all kinds of music. She was a graduate of Friends University where she was a soloist with the Singing Quakers. Judy was the beloved wife of Richard West. Survivors: husband, Richard “Dick” West; children, Peter West of Washington, DC, Jill Frank of Des Moines, IA, Leigh Ann White of Atherton, CA and Kimberly Zarley of Des Moines, IA; mother, Sue Tjaden of Wichita; brother, Paul Tjaden of Groveland, FL; sister, Brenda Thompson of Solana, CA; grandchildren, Brayden West, Abigail Frank, Rachel Frank, Zachary Frank, Emma Frank, Jesse Hett and Lauren Howarth; great-granddaughter, Liliana Maciel. Memorials have been established with Victory in the Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67208 and University Congregational Church, 9209 E. 29th N., Wichita, KS, 67226. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. I remember her well from back during the Robinson Jr. High days, and also for the fact that our parents were friends, and your folks would sometimes be over at our house.
