Kathy and Mr. Webb: My maiden name is Dena Dellasega and I played golf against Karen when we were kids. I got reacquainted with Karen while attending PSU and the rivalry we probably both felt during our youth was replaced with friendship. I remember watching Karen play basketball at PSU and we both were on the softball team together. She had a great sense of humor and kept us all laughing. I was saddened to hear about her passing. You both are in my prayers.
Kathy – I’ve thought of you and Karen often this last year and the difficult time you have faced together. I remember fondly the summer I first moved to Wichita and lived in the same apartment complex with Karen. We had lots of fun. What a great 50th party you gave Karen last year. You’ve been a great sister! She leaves behind lots of memories, that mostly involved laughing and smiling, which is a great tribute to her personality. Our thoughts are with you and your dad.
Karen was a sweet, loving person, who was always willing to help others. I worked with her at Dold for 19 yrs. & she would always take the time to answer my questions no matter how busy she was. She dealt with her illness with such courage & strength, & never complained. She was dearly loved & will be greatly missed.
Thank you, Karen, for being my very first friend in Wichita, easing the transition of being among strangers in a strange land. I cherish the short time and laughter we shared together as dog-walking buddies. You were a brave soldier during your struggle with cancer. Miss you deeply.
Kathy, Our hearts break all over again, only this time, for you. We’re sorry you had to lose your sister.
