Kathleen Belle (Ruthstrom) Swenson, 90, retired civil service accountant at McConnell AFB, joined our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Visitation with the family, 5-8 p.m., Sunday, June 4, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral service, 11 a.m., Monday, June 5, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The graveside service will follow at 4 p.m., Walsburg Cemetery in Leonardville, KS. Kathleen was a member of the Scandinavian Society & Church Guild at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by husband, James "Berney" Swenson; parents, Carl and Amy Ruthstrom. Survivors: daughters, Joyce Graham of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Palmateer (Marc) of Wichita; son, Dale Swenson (Brenda) of Wichita; grandchildren, Katie (Marcus), Lane (Alexandra), Scott, Neil (Cassandra), Amy (Anthony); great-grandchildren, Joel, James, Alex, Olivia, Aubrey and Jesco; sisters, Clara of Raytown, MO, Marilee of Georgetown, TX, and brother, Frank (Joyce) of Phoenix, AZ.
