Kathleen H. Shea, 91, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.

Kathleen “Katie” was born on February 3, 1935, to John Manion and Marie (Murphy) Shea in Wichita, Kansas. Kathleen attended Wichita Public Schools and graduated high school from Mount Caramel Academy. Kathleen attended Wichita State University Business College, completing a B.A. in 1954 and a J.D. from New York University, graduating at the age of 22 in 1957. Kathleen was appointed to the Atomic Energy Commission serving as an attorney in Brussels, Belgium from 1964-1968. In 1972, Kathleen went into private industry and worked at Washington D.C. law firms, retiring from Morgan, Lewis, Bockius LLP. After retirement, Kathleen and her sister, Sheila, reunited in Wichita for their remaining years. Kathleen travelled throughout the world celebrating other peoples and cultures. She was known for her brilliance and quick wit.

Kathleen is survived by cousins and nieces and nephews, notably Gregory Glotzbach who provided care and companionship during her years returning to Wichita.

Rosary will be at 10:30 am, Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Holy Savior Catholic Church. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Savior Catholic Church and School, 3000 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67214.
