Kathleen M. (Steiner) Fankhouser, 83, Retired X-Ray Technician / Healthcare Worker, died Thursday, April 29, 2021. Rosary will be at 5pm, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass at 10am, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Kim Fankhouser. Survived by her sons, Kirk (Margene) Fankhouser of Palm Springs, CA, Kris Fankhouser of Chicago, IL; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Wares of Wichita; sister, Jan (Larry) Moeder of Great Bend, KS; brother, Ken (Betty) Steiner of Hoisington, KS. A memorial has been established with: American Diabetes Association, 608 W. Douglas Ave. S-100, Wichita, KS, 67203.

My sincere sympathy to Kathleen’s family. I have played bridge with Kathleen for over fifty years. We first met when our kids were toddlers. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I am going to be out of town this weekend and will not be able to attend her funeral but will be thinking of you all and will keep her in my prayers. What a kind and wonderful person she was.
