Kaylene J. Miller

Miller, Kaylene J. “Kay,” 53, passed away November 28, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Kay was born October 20, 1959 to Stacy and Virginia Morris in Hutchinson, KS. Kay attended Hutchinson High School and graduated from Hutchinson Community College in 1979. She married Mike Miller on August 1, 1981 and lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Wichita in 1987 where she worked in the banking industry until 1995 when she joined Koch Industries. She recently resigned from Koch as a Contract Analyst Supervisor in the Koch Supply and Trading Division after 17 years. Kay was also President of KJo Janitorial, a company she co-owned with Husband, Mike. Kay was preceded in death by: mother, Virginia; father, Stacy; and half-brother, Michael Morris. She is survived by: husband of 31 years, Mike; stepdaughters, Wendi Penner of Kansas City, MO, Heather White (Greg) of Olathe, and Cori Miller (Stacey Streff) of Overland Park; 8 grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor, Lindsey, Abby, Raegan, Breckyn, Greyden, and Morgan; sisters, Jan Potter (Jon) of Hutchinson, Vicky Lewis (Chuck) of Derby; brother, Stacy (Kathleen) Morris of Newton; 2 nieces; 5 nephews; and many other family members. Kay will be missed by all that knew her, she was admired and respected as just being a great person who was always concerned about others, even as she dealt with her own illness.
