Keith Baalman

Baalman, Keith, 71, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to his heavenly home on February 28, 2015. The youngest child of E.A. and Leoba Baalman was born in Colby, KS, on October 8, 1943. On January 9, 1965, he married Charlene Hansen in Grinnell, KS. He was a lifetime Western Kansas farmer, a Knights of Columbus fourth-degree knight and Elks member. He spent many days enjoying friends at the Colby Country Club. Once retired from farming, his favorite thing to do was relaxing in his chair with a book. His grandchildren were his greatest treasure in life, and he loved nothing more than to watch them grow and follow their school activities. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charlie. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene, of Wichita; sons, Branden of Denver, Gregory (Lisa) of Wichita, and Michael (Donna) of Omaha, along with his six grandchildren, Nathen Baalman, Trent Baalman, Brook Simon (Seth), Spencer Baalman, Saige Baalman and Ashley Baalman. A Vigil/Rosary Service is to be held in Wichita at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. A Vigil/Rosary Service is to be held in Colby at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Mass is to be held in Colby at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with an Inurnment Service at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grinnell at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 430 N.
