Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
My son is a pitcher for the Wichita State Shockers and in December had a car accident which did considerable damage.I found out about Mid Town. Ken repaired the car for what I know was a small fraction of what it could have cost because he said ‘I want that boy to keep going to school and playing ball. My son is playing ball in TX this summer and was upset when I told him of Ken’s death.OUr regret is that we never got him out to a WSU game. About 14 years ago, co-worker and I were in my car literally floating down Emporia St. in a flash food. Ken and his workers came out to rescue us when water was up to the steering wheel inside. He then extracted the water and cleaned out the inside of my car. Ironically, my co-worker and I were employee of of what is now Harry Hynes Hospice.
Ken was one of the kindest, most caring men I have ever known. He was always concerned more about the people around him than himself. He always greeted customers with a kind word and a smile. He helped me on so many occasions with car repairs and I know priced the work below what was needed to help me as a single mom with a teenage driver. I sent many friends to him and every one always called me to thank me for the recommendation. I am saddened by his passing but know what a wonderful man he was and how many people he helped. We will all miss him!!
Ken was a true gentleman. He often helped me out. How much do I owe you Ken?, just two words,~thank you~. We will miss him.
