We lost a great one! Love and prayers to you all during this time.
Lots of memories of Ken and entire family. My dad, Pete Peterson, worked with Ken at Plastic Fab many many years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with Karla and Gary and your families.
Kenny Squires was like a living legend to me, growing up as a boy and young man, even though I knew him only from afar, living in Washington State. However the times that I was blest to be in Kenny’s company, and to savor his presence, were then, and still are now, true and lasting moments. These memories are encounters of the inherent greatness and goodness of this legendary man; and are filled with inspirations of all that one could espouse to live as a noble person. Kenny was legendary for me, in every way of seeking to live, love, and aspire to embrace life fully. His love and devotion to his wife, Mary Ruth, was a shining example and witness of dedicated faithfulness and love. This superseded everything in his life—-his love for his family, and possibly even came near to his love for golf. Kenny will be deeply missed. Even though our lives have bern separated by many miles, Kenny always seemed so present and near to me. I know he now lives the fullest life in Christ, with his dear wife, Mary Ruth; daughter, Linda; and all of those from our side of the Gosselin family. I would have so wanted to be with you all on this occasion, but I give you all my loving prayers and condolences to all the family. Cousin, Father Larry Gosselin, ofm
I remember Ken from Plastic Fab and slo-pitch softball in Wichita, Kansas many years ago. Godspeed Ken. Fair winds and following seas sailor. “Boatswain… Standby to pipe the side… Shipmate’s going Ashore…” Thank you Kenneth for your service to this nation. U.S. Navy, WWII and beyond.
I’ll always remember the first person to give me a job, Kenny Squires. At barely age 16, 1967, I had just lost my dad. I needed a job for the summer. Mr. Squires was willing to give me a chance even though he thought I was too young. I’ll never forget his kindness.
Gary and Karla, I want to express my deepest condolences. Your dad was a Real Class Act. From when he coached me on the St Francis basketball team thru the rest of the time I knew him. Whenever I would run into him, he always remembered me and had a story to share. I’m sure he will be missed. Please know I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Mike Bluml
Gary, Karla and family, this is Kenny’s cousin Janice Barr. I’m so sorry I was unable to be at the service, and sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories growing up with all the Squires “kids” and their families. God’s peace and Blessing. Janice
Linda and I send our sincere condolences to you and your extended families. We have many memories of both your mom and dad. We were able to attend service on internet. Just remember all that he contributed to your family, Wichita, our country, and humanity. Just a mountain of a man. We will miss him dearly. God Bless!!! Chuck & Linda Morgan
Please accept our prayers for Kenny…he always had a smile for me and then would share a story about Gary or Karla…(he was always bragging!).. a hard bitten competitor, I looked forward to seeing him…He’ll be missed Debi and Jeff Campbell
To the Squires Family. I was sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. I saw him every year for many years when The Shriners Circus came to town. He was always helping kids that could not afford tickets to go to the Circus. I also did business with his brother Jerry. The entire Squire family was made up of great individuals and gave their life to our Lord Jesus Christ. May he rest in peach. Charlie Reeves
Karla, Gary, and family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. Your Dad, Mom, and entire family have always been so kind and generous to me. Many treasured memories of time spent with the Squires family. When I was young, your Dad gave me opportunities and encouragement that helped me to succeed in life for which I am eternally grateful. He was a stellar role model as a family man, a leader, and in how he embodied the Golden Rule. I always remember your Dad (and Mama Squires, too). Brian Batt
