Mahoney, Kevin T., 51, Wichita State University power plant operator, died Sunday, December 21, 2008. Rosary, 7:30 P.M., Friday, December 26; Funeral Mass, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, Leon and Shirley; brother, Steven. Survivors: wife, Christine; son Derek; sister, Michelle Gear (David), all of Wichita; many nieces and nephews. A memorial has been established for the benefit of Derek Mahoneys education. Donations may be sent to The Kevin Mahoney Educational Fund, c/o The Peoples Bank, 222 S. Main, Pratt, KS 67124. Chris, My thoughts and prayers are with You and your family. I lost Danny(Rat) over 4 years ago and I can tell You that the pain will ease with each passing year and the memories will grow stronger. I think of the good times i had with kevin on and off of the golf course. drinking beer while sitting in the sun on the drive way. lucy and bart keeping us company. watching sporting events. kris would fix some snacks to eat. kris we will miss him. may he hit the ball long and straight.
