Kimberly Ann Anthem

January 17, 1980 ~ September 27, 2021
On Monday, September 27, 2021, Kimberly “Kim” Ann Anthem lost her battle with cancer. She died at home surrounded by family. Kim had a huge generous heart and loved people. She enjoyed Sunday football with family, especially watching the Kansas City Chiefs. She spent many evenings playing games and Wii with her boys. She loved going out with friends to local bars (especially Merle's) and festivals with live music.
Kim loved traveling with her sons and grandson. She supported her city, Wichita, and was an avid Shocker fan. Kim was proud of her sons and overjoyed at being a grandma.
Kim spent many years in health care as a home health aide, a CNA, and a CMA and enjoyed her last few years working in management at local convenience stores.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Anthem. She is survived by her sons, Trevor, Nicholas, and Nathan; grandson, Nylan; mother, Barb; brother, Jason (Kirsten); nephew, Shane; and niece, Zoey; as well as numerous other cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
Rosary/Memorial will be Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, followed immediately by Visitation.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E. Rockhill St. #403, Wichita, KS 67206; or Victory in the Valley, 3755 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67218.
Would like family to know they are in my prayers 🙏 ❤. I can not get out of work until 2 so I am sorry I can not make the service. My thoughts are with you
What a wonderful joyful lady. I got to enjoy Kim in nursing school. What a fun and amazing person. She was kind hearted and enjoyed having fun.
Barb and family keeping you in thought and prayer. Lots of memories of Girl Scout field trips together. One day Kim and Jenna had a fun play date at our house. When it was time for her to leave I told her they would get together again. She looked at me and said how about next weekend. That brought a smile to my face.
Barb, I am so sorry to just today learn of the passing of your dear daughter Kim. I was looking for an obituary to share with a friend when I came across her name. I cannot even imagine the pain of losing a child. Be assured of my prayers for her repose, and for your consolation and that of her sons and grandson. Love, Vicki Weldon
