Kimberly Renee Wenzel

Kimberly Renee Wenzel (Cole) passed away on December 9th, 2025, following a courageous and brief battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife of 34 years, loving mother of twin sons Nicholas & Thomas Wenzel, and a stepmother to Dayton & Kyle Wenzel. She was also a grandmother to five grandchildren.

In the early years, Kim worked for the city but later found joy in dedicating her time to her family and embracing the role of a stay-at-home mother. She was the definition of cleanliness with an OCD level of tidiness and was proud of it. She also raised two chocolate labs who were a major part of some of our most enjoyable memories. She played the game State of Survival with a group of friends, mostly from overseas. She was known as “Sherlock” amongst these friends and was loved by many. She loved her music as she was very into alternative rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Cole. Kim is survived by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A private celebration of life will be hosted with only her closest friends and family as she wished. Her ashes will be buried in the spring of 2026 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Goddard, KS.
