L. Wendell Hays

Hays, L. Wendell, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Memorial service 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 27th, at Larksfield Place Auditorium, 7373 E. 29th St. N. Private family committal at Highland Cemetery, Winfield, KS. He was born on Christmas Day, 1917 in Preston, KS. Following his years of service in WWII, he worked as Personnel Manager for Boeing Wichita until is retirement in 1981. Wendell is preceded by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances, and his parents Loyal and Goldie Hays. Survivors: loving friend, Mary Russell; children, Dr. Larry Hays (Barbara), McPherson, KS, and Susan Ensz (Clark), Wichita; sister, June Hays Lindsey, Wichita; grandchildren, Lyle Hays (Jade) of Arvada, CO, Kristen Boyle Mitchell (Kent) of Denver, CO and Robinson Ensz of Wichita; and 5 great- grandchildren.
