Larry Brake

Larry Brake, age 79, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. He was born in Kinsley, KS, on January 11, 1936, the son of Rose Marie and Anthony Brake. He was a graduate of Emporia State Teachers College and served his country in the Korean War in the United States Army. Preceded in death by wife, Joan, and brother, Kenneth. Survived by his daughter, Tammy Hoff, and 3 grandsons: Taylor, Spencer and Jordan Hoff, La Verne CA; brother, Emmett Brake, Kinsley, KS; sisters, Bernadette Burghart, Boulder CO, Marge Brake, Las Vegas, NV, Theresa Brake, Kinsley, KS, Jaye Brake, Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. Rosary, 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5; Funeral Mass, Friday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to: The Lords Diner, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
