Larry Eugene Sanders

Larry Eugene Sanders, 58, departed for eternitys shore while surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Larry was an estimator for Don Rutherford Construction Company. He was born January 16, 1956 to Melvin and Leona Sanders in Valley Forge Army Hospital, Pennsylvania. His greatest joys in life were his faith in God, love of family, friends and the great outdoors. He will be missed as a friend, brother, uncle, husband and father. He is survived by his mother, Leona; wife, Tami; sons, Pierce and Michael Sanders, all of Wichita; siblings and their spouses, Dannie and Nannette Sanders of Andover, Debra Adams of Pryor, OK, Gary and Susan Sanders of Wichita, Sherry and John Bollinger of Wichita and Melissa and Norman Thompson of Bellevue, NE; stepdaughters, Jessica and Ashley Vestring; stepson, Matthew Vestring; granddaughters, Kylie and Madison Vestring and Lexy Sanders; grandson, Preston Sanders, and countless nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 or to the memorial of your choice. Larrys home-going ceremony will be 11 a.m., Monday, February 10 at Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
