Lavonne Farrice

Lavonne Farrice, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother and retired medical technician for Drs. Mosley, Hodson and McMullen, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Lavonne loved reading, sewing, art, travel, and assisting with feeding the homeless. She was a member of several church groups, former president of the Diabetes Support Group, former President of the United Methodist Womens Group and active in the Goddard Womens Club. Lavonne will be available for viewing (family will not be in attendance) beginning Saturday, February 4 during regular business hours at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service, 11 a.m., Monday, February 6, Goddard United Methodist Church. Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita. Preceded in death by parents, Oleta and Charles Walter McClure; husband, Jimmie Farrice; brother, Kenneth McClure. Survivors: daughters, Dawn (Larry) DeArmond of Wichita and Jamie (Ronn) Mertens of Garden Plain; grandchildren, Chasity DeArmond Rueby (Liz), Daniel Unruh (Amanda), Alisha and Katelyn Mertens; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Maximus, Brentley and Jaxon.
