Suter, Lawrence A. “Chip”, 76, retired builder, entered into eternal life, at his home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, January 11, 2009, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Rosary, 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 14; service, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 15, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Wichita. Interment will follow at 3:30 P.M., Argonia Cemetery in Argonia, KS. Chip was born, September 18, 1932, to Albert J. and Margaret (Herring) Suter at their home in Harper County, KS. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Mary Suter; brother-in-law, B.L. Thomas; sister-in-law, Cleta Suter. Survivors: wife of 51 years, Carmen (Wulf) Suter; children, Lawrence A. “Larry” Suter, Jr. and wife, Nancy, James A. Suter, Jennifer Sanderson and husband, Terry, and Marilyn J. Suter; step-grandson, Shawn Breit and wife, Summer, and their two daughters; brothers, Walter Suter, Merrill (Mary) Suter, and Albert “Jack” (Donna) Suter; sister, Evelyn Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews. Chip was a lifetime member of the Wichita Area Builders Association. He retired from Legacy Homes, Inc., in 1994 and enjoyed traveling to all 50 states. Carmen and family: I will never forget Chip, when I was growing up in our Home town, he was a great guy to us little ones at the time.
