  1. I will surely miss Lee. I first met him when I was a teen and although we weren’t in frequent contact, I always thought of him as a grandfather, since mine passed away when I was very young. I remember he and I spending hours trying to learn to write with our opposite hand when he came to visit my family in Detroit. I also remember visiting him and Nana in Pasadena in the 1970s. I always enjoyed the interesting ‘grass’ in their lawn. The last time I saw Lee was at my wedding in 1990. I was so pleased that he was able to attend. He was a kind and patient person and I will always have fond memories of him.

  2. Dearest Agnes & family, Dave and I would like you to know how much Lee as meant to us in the short time we have been neighbors. He was a true gentleman and we will miss him greatly.

  3. TO the KEEL Family. I was sadden to read that Lee had passed away. I had talked to him on the 22nd as I was delivering a couple of packages to his home. He was a very likeable and considerate man. It was my pleaure to know this man. Agnes my prayers will be with you. Your Rural Mailperson STEVE B.

  4. Lee is truly missed. Our family became acquainted with Lee many years ago when he, his Mom, and our next door neighbor, Debbie Caufield, would play cards regularly and Lee (who we knew as Leedro then) took such great care of Debbie’s beautiful yard. Over the years Lee took care of his Mom until her passing, then took care of Debbie until she too passed. We were so happy that Lee was able to acquire Debbie’s house and continue to be our next door neighbor. Lee began helping my Dad with various projects and the two of them became great friends. Lee was so good for my Dad. Then Dad managed to introduce Agnes to Lee and his world took on a whole new direction. I’m so glad that Lee found the love and companionship he needed with Agnes for the last part of his life. Although since Lee and Agnes moved from Arcadia, CA, that corner house just doesn’t look the same. Please know that the Brooks family kids will always remember Lee with much love and fondness. My 3 brothers and I wish to convey our condolences at this time to all family and friends. It may be difficult at this time for my Dad to fully understand, but I know he misses his friend and someday they will see each other again in heaven.
