LeeRoy J. Jansen

Jansen, LeeRoy J., 68, of Wichita, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2013. He was born May 14, 1945, the 6th child of William and Theresia (Thimmesch) Jansen of Maize, Kansas. He married the love of his life, Patricia (Kiser) on September 23, 1967. He served in the Air National Guard. He retired in 2010 from Cessna Aircraft Company after 44 years. He was currently employed at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He was an avid outdoorsman and card player. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including his 18 grandchildren. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and earned the honor of 4th degree Knight of Columbus. LeeRoy was preceded in death by brother, Marvin; sister, Betty; and sons, Brad and Thomas. LeeRoy is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Patricia; children, Andrea (Mark) Perez of Wichita; Christy (Scott) Hess of Augusta; Dan (Rachel) Jansen of Derby; Dana (Shane) Pfingsten of Wichita; Brenda (Davin) Doonan of Andale; Scott Jansen of Wichita; brother, Albert (Marlene) Jansen; sisters, Delores Becker, Lois (Don) Becker and 18 grandchildren. Rosary is 7:00 pm Thursday and Funeral Mass is 10:00 am Friday both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Schulte. Memorial has been established with St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 11000 Southwest Boulevard, Wichita, Kansas 67215. Downing and Lahey West Mortuary.
