Leona E. Heath Wooton

Leona E. Heath Wooton, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015. She was born to Ed and Mary (Salm) Burkhart at Cimarron, Kansas, August 5, 1925. Leona was preceded in death by husbands, LeRoy B. Heath and Richard V. Wooton; her parents; 5 brothers; 2 sisters and a great-grandson. Leona was a dedicated teacher. Throughout her life, she was a member of the church choir and various church organizations and was a woman of prayer and deep faith. She loved reading, music, flowers and birds. Leona is survived by a son, Dennis “Cassian” Heath; daughters, Dee Ann Burke (Tim), Joyce Williams, Jeannine Pfannenstiel, Madonna Taylor (Rocky) and Patrice Coke (Nathan); 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Rosary and Vigil Service, 7 p.m., Thursday, July 2; Mass of Christian Burial, 1 p.m., Friday, July 3, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
