LeRoy Copp

LeRoy Copp, 87, died Friday, August 18, 2023.Rosary will be at 10:30 am, Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. LeRoy was born July 29, 1936 in Walker Township of Ellis County, KS. He was the oldest child of Lucas and Lidwina Copp, who precede him in death. LeRoy graduated from Gorham, KS before relocating to Wichita, KS in 1955. In his younger years LeRoy served in the Army Reserves, was a Bell Captain at the Allis Hotel, and then enjoyed a successful career working in bread route sales for many years. Before retiring, LeRoy ended his career as salesperson in the automotive parts industry. LeRoy loved the game of golf; he could be found most days either playing golf with his favorite group or working as a starter or marshal at local golf courses in Wichita.LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie; sisters, Carolyn, Jeanette, and Mary Agnes.Survived by his wife of 62 years, Rita Copp; brothers, Dennis, James, and Michael Copp; sisters, Judy Dinges and Diane Copp; sons, Jeffrey “Jeff” (Brandi) Copp, Darren Copp; daughter, Brenda (Bill) Neppl; grandchildren, Lauren, Amanda, Ashley, Mason, and Levi; great-grandchild, Kyler.Memorials have been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
