Leslie (Les) James Berblinger, 76, passed peacefully to heaven on July 24, 2025, with his family by his side. Les was born on December 10, 1948, in Lyons, Kansas to Joanne and Frederick Berblinger. In 1964, Les met Susan while in high school and were happily married on August.10, 1968.

After Les graduated from Kansas Technical Institute, he began working at Cessna Aircraft which was the beginning of his 41 year career. During his time at Cessna/Textron, not only was he a dedicated employee and manager, he completed his bachelor’s degree at Friends University. He truly treasured the many friends he made through the years and always looked forward to seeing everyone at the retirement luncheons.

For Les, family life meant being present for any and every function in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Whether he was coaching or cheering them on from the stands, he was always there for them. His love for family also spread to his nieces and nephews and other members of his extended family who he cared for dearly.

Susan and Les were blessed to be together for sixty-one years, and they were able to fill those years with countless memories together. Les’s love and dedication to his marriage could be seen by any who knew them.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Les was a great man and we always enjoyed seeing and talking with him at extended family functions and grandkid’s athletic events. So many of his good traits, personality, and character were passed down and personified through Jeff, who’s been my brother-in-law for the past 20 years.

The entire Berblinger family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, but seeing all the wonderful pictures of Les and his family, after viewing the slide show, brought a smile to my face and I hope it’s comforting to the family to see what a legacy Les helped create and now leaves behind. A lot to be proud of and cherish for sure.

  2. Thinking of you at your time of sorrow. He will be missed. Hugs and prayers for his family 🙏🤗❤️

  3. I owned the Dairy Palace in Goddard and remember seeing Les many a time with family. We lost touch after I moved from Goddard, however seeing his obituary it brings memories . My prayers to family.
