Linda C. (McBride) Powell

Powell, Linda C. (McBride), 59, formerly of South Hutchinson and Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Thursday, November 11 at the VA West Los Angeles (CA) Medical Center nursing home unit. Graveside services, 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 10 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield. Linda was born March 7, 1951 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was a 1969 graduate of Nickerson High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert McBride. Survivors include her daughter, Hannah Powell of Wichita; mother, Ione M. (Bartlett) McBride of South Hutchinson; siblings, Debby McBride Brown of Parkville, MO, Jacque Holloway (Randy) of Wichita and Ron McBride of Hutchinson. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
