Nunemaker, Linda Diane, 56, devoted wife and mother, homemaker, died Friday, March 4, 2005. She was born on July 6, 1948, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Dr. Robert Lester Brown and Alice Louise Brown. She attended school in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Southeast High School in 1966. She attended Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colorado where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Spanish. She also attended the Universudad de Madrid, Spain and Wichita State University. After graduating from college, she was employed by Cessna as a bi-lingual Secretary/Translator. On June 15, 1973 she was united in marriage to Terry Vin Nunemaker, in Wichita, Kansas. Linda was a life-long learner, avid reader and loved to dance. Linda enjoyed spending time with her children and was devoted to their success. She spoke several languages and enjoyed history. She was continuing her study of languages and history at Wichita State University. She was a member of the Colonial Dames and a member of the First Christian Church in Augusta. Linda is survived by her husband, Terry Nunemaker, and two children, Lt. Donald Joseph Nunemaker, Ft. Lewis, WA and Elizabeth Diane Nunemaker, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN; brother, Dr. Douglas Brown, Garden City, KS; sister, Martha Brown, El Dorado, KS; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Lee) Ryglenski, Aliquippa, PA and Leslie (Ralph) Old, Wichita; step-mother, Marilyn Brown, Wichita. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert Lester Brown and Alice Louise Brown, both of Wichita. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Rose Hill, 10:00 A.M., Thursday. Graveside service will be at the Old Mission Cemetery, noon, Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to Modern and Classical Languages and Literature, Endowment Association, Wichita State University, 1845 Fairmount, Wichita, KS, 67260-0002. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
