Linda Kathleen Rohling, 78, retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, September 29, 2024. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 3, 2024, Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, October 4, 2024, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Linda was a loving wife and mother. She was passionate about family genealogy and Eastern Star, Ninnescah Chapter and loved going on cruises. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred L. Chitwood. She is survived by her husband, Duane Rohling; daughter, Shannon (David) Schinkus; brothers, John (Peggy) Chitwood, David (Lynnetta) Chitwood; numerous other relatives & friends. A memorial has been established with: Eastern Star Ninnescah Chapter, c/o Jackie Strickland, 1001 Park Glen Street, Clearwater, KS 67026. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

I am also a Chitwood family member and was able to attend one of the many reunions Linda held. We communicated ever so often on email. So said to hear this news. Prayers to her family. She will be missed.

As a Chitwood (Russell) my wife Sheila and I met Linda and a good part of the Chitwood family at their reunions. Occasionally on Facebook as well. Condolences to the family. I lost my Sheila in 2010 and now in North Carolina.
