Lois Jonker
March 1, 1926 ~ April 27, 2012
Jonker, Lois, 86, walked with God and His son, Jesus to see both family and friends on Friday, April 27, 2012. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, is greatly loved and missed. Memorial service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday May 1, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Lois was born on March 1, 1926 in Conway Springs, Kansas. She worked for 18 years at both Seltzer and Southeast High. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joe. She is survived by daughters, Linda Hamlett (Jim) of Fishers, IN, Shelley Johnson (Jack) of Woodland Park, CO and Cindy Sumner (Chris) of Wichita; son, Scott Jonker (Tina) of Wichita. She has 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial has been has been established with Amedisys Hospice, 250 W. Douglas, #101, Wichita, KS 67202.

I’m sorry to come to this so late. I knew the family as a child and my parents were friends of Joe and Lois through the VFW. Many wonderful memories out at the farm and the lake. Sending my deepest sympathies.
