Tasset, Lois M., 84, went to her peaceful rest with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Lois passed away peacefully at the Lake Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rose Hill, KS. Rosary is 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 18 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Requiem Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with graveside service immediately following at Calvary Cemetery. Lois was born in Hutchison, KS to Finis and Clora Vanlandingham. She had many hobbies, including cooking, collecting antiques, and was a most avid drag racing fan. Lois also participated in driving her own racer, the “GRAND-DRAGON-MA”. She touched the lives of many people with her generosity. Preceded by daughter, Carolyn Lemoyne, sons, James Tasset, Richard Lemoyne Tasset and sister, Pauline Wilson. Lois was the loving wife for 59 years of John H. Tasset; mother of Geri Bernard (Ed), John H. Tasset, Jr (Kristy) and daughter-in-law, Robyn Tasset; grandmother of Danielle Culver (Brent), Jay Bernard, Carrie Stanley (Brandon) and Christina Tasset and 3 great-grandchildren.
