She married Leroy W. Hiebert of Hillsboro on November 13, 1944 who preceded her in death on March 26, 1985. They were the parents to Cindy (Bruce) Hogle, Mike (Terri) Hiebert, Jean Hiebert (Coleen Davison), and Lon Hiebert; grandparents to Kinsey (Jeff) Walters, Rachael (Michael) Dunham, and Logan Peifer; and great-grandchildren Maren, Holt, and Flint Walters and Raegan and Taylor Dunham. Some of her volunteer activities included service to the Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church (LAMC), the Bel Aire Senior Club, and the Twentieth Century Club. In addition, she volunteered at Botanica accumulating over 2500 hours of service. She will be remembered for her generosity, smile, laugh, and kindness to all people. Saturdays were not complete without a batch of zweibach, cinnamon rolls, or rye bread smells wafting through the house. She loved her children and was supportive in all their endeavors. She was a role model in how to balance working full time and being a wife and parent. A private burial service for family will be held at the Lorraine Avenue Memorial Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at LAMC, 655 S. Lorraine St., Wichita, KS at 11:00 a.m. July 7, 2018. The family wishes to thank the staff at Park Meadows Memory Care and Ascend Hospice. Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
