Lola Marie Hopkins, 88, homemaker and pharmacy bookkeeper, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. Rosary, 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 27; Funeral Mass, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hopkins; daughter, Lisa Hopkins; parents, August and Katherine Breit. Survivors: daughters, Dana Hopkins and Cheryl (Michael) Miller; son, Mark (Shawn) Hopkins; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Sylvester Breit. Memorials established with Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St., Ste. 600, Atlanta, GA 30309; and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

I’ll always remember Aunt Lola’s kindness…she was quick to bring over Knebble Soup when comfort was needed in my own family. So many wonderful memories of the weekend evenings spent with the Hopkin clan with popcorn & Wonderful World of Disney…and all the Breit Family Annual Christmas parties she (and Gary) we able to attend. She will be missed!! Keeping her & all of the family in my thoughts & prayers. I was so fortunate to have her as my Godmother.
To the Hopkins family; Sorry for the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. I pray that God will supply the comfort you need during this time of sorrow. I will always cherish the memories I have of Mrs. Lola.
