Siegrist, Lora Jo,
66, retired Andover Middle School teacher of 36 years, passed away April 30, 2016. Lora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than her creative playtime with her grandchildren. Memorial Service 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Josephine Long; grandson, Jack Monroe Siegrist. Survivors include her husband, Richard; sons, Zachary (Katie), Jacob (Casey); grandchildren, Samantha Jo Siegrist, Andrew Jacob Siegrist, Luke Christopher Siegrist, Olivia Ann Siegrist; brothers, John (Karen) Long and Bill (Barbara) Long, Ted (Judy) Rinebarger; sisters-in-law, Rose (Jerry) Kunselman, Rita (Charles) Hilding. Memorial has been established in Loras name with Bridgets Cradles, P.O. Box 130, Andover, KS 67002. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.

Mrs. Siegrist was my 6th grade home room teacher at Andover, and she was amazing. I randomly searched for her today and was sad to see that she had passed away. I’ll always be grateful for her creating a great environment for kids to learn, and for her encouragement. Rest in peace Mrs. Siegrist.
