Lorna Leslie Hull, 72, retired Accounting Clerk for Murfin Drilling Company, died Thursday, January 23, 2020. Private family services to be held. Preceded in death by her parents, John Purcell and Lorna Lillian Laughlin; husband, Ralph Hull, Jr. Survived by her sister-in-law, Linda (Mark) Moore of Plano, TX; brother-in-law, Larry Hull of Wichita, KS; numerous other relatives & friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

Lorna Leslie Theresa Joan Laughlin Hull, has been my best friend for 62 years. I moved to the house behind her & joined her circle of friends, but we clicked & were a pair of peas in a pod. I spent the night almost every weekend, made up games & went on summer vacations. Back then we were silly girls with wild imaginations.. Leslie and her parents took me on summer road trips and we aptly kept them entertained. We were each others bride’s maids and even worked together at the old Wichita Clinic in medical records. We made it through the Vietnam war era unscathed and somehow decades passed. We re-kindled our friendship later in life, especially after Lewis’s death, and were the same besties as always. A note on my highschool picture given to Leslie says it best: “Dear Leslie, you are, without a doubt, the most wonderful girl in the world, you are sincere sweet, thoughtful, cute and crazy…….,,You keep me up at night with scary stories and long, complex theories. Anyway, I still like you. Love Cheri”. Rest In Peace dear friend.
