Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I remember in high school I was taking drafting classes and thinking of being an architect. Lowell was so excited he brought me to his work and showed me some architectural blueprints. I couldn’t read them but his enthusiasm was touching. I wish I had seen him one more time.

  2. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lowell’s family. I always enjoyed him when he would come into the office at Hutton Construction. He was always so sweet and kind to us. Rest in Peace Lowell.

  3. Dad,

You spent a lifetime working hard and turning others’ plans and dreams into reality.

You discovered your talent as a craftsman and applied it to construction when you were still a young man. Through your gift you took countless people’s dreams of a home, office or commercial building and made it a reality. You built lasting relationships by delivering quality in projects that will last generations. These projects were successful because of your ability to manage people’s expectations while delivering their dream.

You and mom took on raising a family with the same dedication and selflessness that you approached construction. You both worked day and night putting the family needs first. That same hard work continued as you put 3 kids through private school and college.
You never considered your work as a dad to be finished. Always willing to repair a car, fix a house or work in a restaurant if one of your kids asks for help. Your only wish was that you could do it alongside the family but never too far away from mom.

The work never stopped as dad because it turned into Pa. You opened grandpa’s toy repair shop and staffed it 24/7. You sat through countless grandkid events waiting for that one chance to snap a picture of a grandkid to show off later.

Thank you, dad. I cannot staff the grandpa repair shop or take the pictures the way you did but I do hope to follow your example as a husband, father, grandpa by putting family first.

    Steve

    • Steve – your father was a great human and taught us a great many life lessons during our time together at Mr. Goodcents. Much love and light to Kathy, Diane, Beth and you.

  4. I’m so saddened to hear this news. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Mr. Peterson represented everything that was great about living on Grail Street: love and family first and foremost, with fun and laughter and good times generously mixed in. He will be remembered with respect and affection, always.
    Much love to the family.

  5. So sad to read of Lowell’s passing. I worked with Lowell on numerous projects for over 20 years and can’t think of a kinder man or more dedicated job superintendent that I ever had the pleasure to work with. Always friendly, optimistic and passionate about work, life and his family. The way he lived his life will always be a blessing that we can reflect on, learn from and be thankful that we knew Lowell.
