Lucas Benjamin Griggs

Lucas Benjamin Griggs, 33, of Derby, went to be with our Lord peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2018 after a long and brave battle. Luke was baptized after accepting Jesus as his savior in 2017. Lukes love and generosity were endless. He lifted so many up and cared deeply for those he loved; his happiest times were those spent with his family and the happy memories made are countless. Luke worked professionally as a Landman. Those closest to Luke described him though as a Renaissance man. Luke was a talented guitar player, artist, actor, creative cook, magician, history enthusiast, amateur gunsmith, and was well known for his yearly 4th of July fireworks displays. He is greatly missed. Memorial Service will be at 2 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Derby, KS. Survived by his parents, Ross and Bonnie Griggs of Derby; brothers, Zachary (Elizabeth) Griggs of Derby, Gabriel Griggs of Wichita; sister, Angelica (Kristofer) Steed of Fairfield, CA; nephews, Blake Griggs, Jack Griggs; niece, Reese Griggs; grandmother, June Griggs of Wichita.
