Gartin, Luther “Gart”, 92, retired Cessna Aircraft Company vice-president of marketing, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Visitation with the family 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011, with a Rosary service following at 5:00 p.m., both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Church Of The Madgalen. Gart was a long time member of SBA-SCORE He was a RPBM club member, a passionate pilot with Cessna for 34 years, and a member of the Lions Club. Gart was preceded in death by two children, Jim and Jerry Gartin, and two brothers, Keith and Dick Gartin. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ursula; daughter, Sandy Bridgewater (Roy), of Richardson, TX; sister, Marilyn Hibbs (Mike), of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jeff Bridgewater (Amanda), of Houston, TX, Emily Bridgewater, of Lubbock, TX, and Cassandra Gartin, of Durango, CO; great-grandchildren, Bailey Bridgewater and Ava Gartin; several nieces and nephews. Memorials to: Church Of The Magdalen, 12626 E. 21st St. N, Wichita, KS, 67206, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202, and Iroquis Center For Human Development, 610 E. Grant, Greensburg, KS, 67054. Visitation with the family 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011 with a Rosary service at 5:00 P.M., both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
