Lynda Sue Chambers

Lynda Sue Chambers, 73, Customer Service, died Friday, November 16, 2018. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Celebration will be at 10:00 am; Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, November 26, 2018, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. In order to celebrate Lyndas life, she requests you wear colorful and sparkly clothes to the service. Lynda worked customer service for Lane Bryant, Kansas Body Works, Extreme Athletics and Atishwin Institute Inc. She also worked at Krispy Kreme, Cessna, Walkers, and as a lunch lady at Bostic, Beech & Fabrique Schools. Her most rewarding job was watching her 2 granddaughters. She enjoyed sharing cakes and cookies for celebrations and being a supportive GranDiva (cheerleader, bell ringer, & adoptive mascot). Preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Deloris Toddleson; sister, Debbie Zinn. Survived by her husband, Donald William Chambers of Wichita, KS; daughter, Kelley (David) Cox of Wichita; son, Todd William (Patrick) Chambers of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lauren Cox (fianc, Ryan Barrett) of Wichita, KS, Olivia Cox of Wichita; nieces, Mandy (Brian) Anderson of Wichita, Erin Zinn of Wichita; adoptive son, Tony Tonihka of Wichita, KS; pet, Gus the chihuahua. Lynda was always happy and smiling. She was always in the kitchen helping with the dinner. She loved baking and made some awesome cakes

I did not know your beautiful mom Kelly, but from the stories Ive read, I wished I had. She sounded like a truly beautiful mom! Ive lost my dad 3 1/2 years ago, and it is still tough. Prayers and hugs to all families involved.
Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
