Lynda Sue O’Neal, 84, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Sunday, April 5, 2026. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
Lynda was a dedicated employee of Boeing, where she worked for seventeen years before retiring. She was known for her strong work ethic, kind spirit, and the care she showed to those around her. Outside of her career, Lynda found great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends. She baked homemade large chocolate chip cookies for our birthdays. She had her famous Hershey chocolate cake from scratch that was delicious. Another treat was her homemade rolls for Thanksgiving. She had a creative soul and especially loved crocheting and knitting. Her afghans were beautiful and rich in colors. She gifted her afghans to many family members. Lynda also had a passion for travel and cherished the memories she made exploring new places with her husband. In her community, she generously gave her time volunteering at the Assistance League of Wichita thrift store, Gingerbread Village, and cooking food with the ladies at First United Methodist. Lynda will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared with everyone, especially her family.
