Lynn Hanzlicek, 74, retired groundwater remediation consultant and Augusta High School automotive teacher, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Graveside service will be at 11:00, December 5, 2023, at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Winfield, KS. Lynn served in the Navy as a radioman in Vietnam. He enjoyed working on cars, raising goats and rabbits, and watching black and white westerns. He always seemed to be smoking a pipe or little cigar and was always available for free advice on anything. Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Winifred Hanzlicek. Survived by his daughter, Jessica (Todd Treadwell) Hanzlicek-Treadwell of Andover, KS; step-daughter, Kristin (Sean Anderson) Beal of Wichita; step-son Wesley (Joy Wrolson) Beal of Alexandria, MN; brothers Mark (Christy) Hanzlicek of Caldwell, KS; Gregg Hanzlicek of Manhattan, KS; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Services in care of Downing and Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
