Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
August 09, 2010 Dr. Getz– I’m so very sorry for your loss. I always loved to hear some of the Mack stories you told as Mack had some great moments! For some reason, I remember the one when he received a speeding ticket for not catching on quick enough the speed limit on the road to Ellsworth was less than the limit on I70. He tried to argue it should be, but he lost. Mack was a kind man that touched the lives of many through his years working at TSH and I am glad to have known him. You are in my thoughts. ~ Brenda West Hagerman, Larned, Kansas
Our lives touched fleetingly over the last ten years and each time was lit with laughter and appreciation and gratitude for all life’s goodnesses. I’m privileged to have known Mack; my deepest sympathies to his family and to his dear George.
Dear George, Rusty, Laurie, and Emily, I was so sorry to read about Mack’s passing and want to express my sympathy to all of you. Although we were neighbors (I live on Estate Ct. in back of George & Mack’s house), I never had the pleasure of meeting Mack but did know that he was Donice’s brother. I remember the Evans family well from our years together at Plymouth Church. I send all of you my love and deepest sympathy. Doris Uhlig
Dear Laurie, Rusty, and Emily, Barbara Addison called to let me know the sad news. I first got to know Mack at WSU and we shared lots of good times as well as academic esperiences with a group of friends. Then he and I both went on to KU for graduate work and continued our friendship. I got to know the three of you and your wonderful parents, grandparents, and your Aunt Jane because Mack took me to a number of family gatherings. I always believed you had a loving and special family and felt privileged to be involved with all of you. Although Mack and I lost touch over the years, when I was in Wichita about ten years ago the Addisons provided the opportunity for me to get reacquainted with Mack and to see George again (I first met him when he and Mack were on staff at Osawatomie) and for them to meet my husband, Jim Carson. We all spent a wonderful evening together at Barb and Gil’s. I want you to know of my sympathy. Mack played a special role in my life and I know he did in yours. He loved the three of you dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Mary Frances
