Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
We were very sorry to hear of Marge’s death. What a special lady. The words describing Marge were ‘grand’, ‘full of life’ and ‘very dear’. It was always special to see her, especially cheering at the football games. Your family was blest with a very special ‘Mom’. We too were blest in having the opportunity to know her.
We are the neighbors of Pam, Marjorie’s daughter. I’m reminded of how they talked about she never met a stranger. We, too, are testaments to this statement. I remember when we first met Ms. Marjorie, she would always smile, speak to my son, and always loved that purple (I’m a KU grad) of K-State. Pam, keep your head up and know your mother was a blessing to have met. She also loved Abby (Pam’s dog) like a grandchild.
To our beloved Aunt Marjorie – Your homecoming will undoubtably be glorious for those who have gone before you, but sad for us here who will greatly miss the beautiful and gracious Aunt we will forever remember and love – Gary George and Georgia George Baker
Years ago my brother louis wrote this tribute to Marjorie: ‘ Marjorie, better known as Marj, was the fifth child. Marj kept the rythmn going -ie. girl, boy, girl, boy, girl. She is the stabllizer of the family. She always has her door open for brothers and sisters, Marj is a beautiful lady, charming, strong character, understanding and like her mother she has self perseverance and will hang in there until the job is completed.’ She was all this and more. Brother Elvin.
For the past 60 years Marjorie has been a big sister and role model for me. Alway kind, considerate and generous as well as beautiful to see. Her passing leaves a hole in the fabric of her George family that can never be filled. We love you, and will always keep you in our hearts.Marjorie
Pam I am sorry for the passing of your mother I know that empty feeling that you must have in your heart now with your loss, having gone thru the same thing with my parents and recently my brother Mark. Your mom was most likely like mine the hub of the whole family. One of the things that has helped me and would surely help you is your family and friends, lean on them all you need.
My Aunt Marj was not only beautiful to look at, but had an inner beauty that radiated kindness and a tenderness of heart not often found in many people. She was always a joy to be around and was a solid rock to family and friends alike. It will be hard to imagine family gatherings without her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her!
