Marcella Schepis

Marcella Schepis, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Marcella was born in Winfield, Kansas on April 12, 1925. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Dr. Michael S. Schepis, and brothers, Robert E. Blakey and Dee Byron Blakey,Sr. She is survived by her sons, Michael Schepis (Kathleen) of Plano, TX and Philip Schepis (Nancy) of Wichita; sister, Norma Dubetsky of McKinney, TX; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Marcella was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas, the church her husband founded in 1955 where he was senior pastor for 29 years. The visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 27 at Downing Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W. Maple. A celebration of Marcellas life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 28 at Grace Baptist Church, 1414 W. Pawnee in Wichita. Share online tributes with the family via www.dlwichita.com.
