Margaret was a devoted and loving wife for 67 years. She met the love of her life, Angel. Their love and dedication to each other throughout their years of marriage was a great example to all who had the pleasure of knowing them. She leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Through the years, those who were in need she befriended and became fast friends. She will be missed by many, especially those she touched.
Margaret dropped out of school at a young age to take care of her ailing mother. Despite the challenges, she never lost sight of her own dreams. Later in life, she earned her GED, proving that it’s never too late to pursue personal growth and education.
Margaret spent much of her early married life traveling with Angel, to different work sites. In the early years, the couple enjoyed the adventure of moving around, but when they settled in Wellington, Kansas, to raise their family, Margaret embraced her role as a loving mother to four children.
Tragedy struck when Angel was involved in a train derailment, which left him severely injured, and Margaret became the primary breadwinner. In the face of adversity, she worked tirelessly, holding various waitress jobs to provide for her family.
Margaret eventually found employment at the Coleman Company in Wichita, Kansas. Soon, the family relocated from Wellington, Kansas to Wichita, Kansas.
After a dedicated 30-year career as an assembler with the Coleman Company, Margaret retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. She was proud of the years she spent at Coleman, where she made lifelong friends and was known for her positive attitude and reliability.
Margaret was deeply passionate about soap operas, especially General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, which she loyally followed for years. Also, she and Angel shared a love for travel, often visiting family. After retiring, one of their most memorable experiences was an Alaska cruise. Margaret will be remembered for her gentle spirit, loyalty, and the warmth she brought to everyone she met. She had an enduring love for life and an ability to make others feel special and valued.
