Preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Cora Rice; husband, Charles Thorpe; daughter, Linda Thorpe; sisters, Marilyn (John) Millar, Norma Renquist; brother, Robert Rice. Survived by her sons, Richard "Dick" (Glenda) Thorpe, Dean (Julie) Thorpe; daughters, Pamela Thorpe, Peggy (John) Ruhl; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rice; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with: P.E.O., 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
