Margaret Jean M.J. Cress

Cress, Margaret Jean “M.J.,” 93, retired Kapaun-Mt. Carmel teacher, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Visitation 5:00-7:00 P.M., Friday, January 23, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Service 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 24, at University United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Allan Cress. Survived by daughter, Nancy (Ataa) Alsawady; son, Gary (Adelheid) Cress; grandchild, Yoseph (Zainab) Alsawady and great-grandchild, Khalid; and grandchild, Sammy (Sara) Alsawady and great-grandchild, Ata. MJ was active in the United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association, AAUW, WSU Womens Association and other worthwhile causes. She is remembered for her many spontaneous acts of kindness.
