Corsbie, Margaret M., 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, August 11, 2014, at Comfort Care Homes. She was born September 23, 1924 in Baltimore, MD to Leo and Elsie Ziegler. While working at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore during World War II, she met the love of her life, Bing Corsbie. He was a young coast guard musician stationed on the east coast. They married on January 4, 1946 and moved to Ft. Madison, IA where Bing had a long career with the Santa Fe Railroad, with promotions that took the family to Chicago, IL and then to Newton, KS. Margaret enjoyed her voluntary work with the Girl Scouts in Chicago, IL and Axtell Hospital and Newton Medical Center, Newton, KS. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and her beloved husband. Survived by her daughter, Cathy (Charles) Mayberry of Wichita; son, Danny (Jann) Corsbie of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Mayberry, Timothy Mayberry, both of Wichita, Sarah (Chris) Wright of Alexandria, VA, Matthew Corsbie of Gainesville, FL, Ethan Corsbie of Ketchikan, AK; great-grandchildren, Shaun Finney, Jaylynn Mayberry, both of Wichita, Brooklyn Mayberry of Hutchinson, KS, Willow Wright of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her little dog, Tanner. Memorials have been established with Caring Hands Humane Society, 1400 SE 3rd St., Newton, KS 67114; Alzheimers Association, Central and Western Kansas Chapter, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214. A private family memorial service is planned. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
